The 41 minute IIS disease
The most peculiar thing happend today. Or, actually, yesterday. For several months now I have had a server application running on a Windows 2008 R2 server using the IIS 7.5 as an application server. The system has state so all application pool recycling and similar stuff has been disabled. Starting yesterday at 14:10 the application pool and thus the w3wp.exe process is terminated 41 minutes (give or take a couple of seconds) after I start up the application. I have no idea what-so-ever why this is suddenly happening. As far as I know nothing has been done to the server for quite some time. But, obviously something is different because before yesterday it was not smitten with this 41 minute disease.
